GUTS is Charlotte’s premier pumpkin carving competition, organized and created by HAWSE for the local creative community. 

The third annual GUTS competition is this Thursday, October 27, beginning at 4:00 PM at the North Carolina Music Factory. Like previous years, the pumpkins will be auctioned off to benefit the children at Levine Children’s Hospital. Unlike previous years, there’s an opportunity for those unable to attend to be involved. 

Anyone can participate by donating a GUTS Gift Pack to a child at the Levine Children’s Hospital. Each pack contains a beautifully illustrated activity book and a GUTS T-shirt. This a great way for people who can’t attend to support kids who also cannot physically make it out to enjoy the day.

We’re excited to be having an AIGA Meet Market on site following the pumpkin auction. Anyone competing in GUTS this year will get a free drink, courtesy of AIGA Charlotte. Join the rest of the Charlotte design community at The Saloon. It’s a great time see familiar faces and meet someone new.
