Speaker Series: Illustrator and Designer Tad Carpenter

About our speaker:

Tad Carpenter is a designer, illustrator, and teacher based in Kansas City, Missouri. Carpenter co-runs the Carpenter Collective, a design and branding studio, with his wife Jessica. They focus on bringing powerful messages to life through branding, packaging, illustration, and design. They have worked with clients ranging from Target, Macy's, Old Navy, Chronicle Books, Conan O'Brien, Adobe, and MTV, among many others. Carpenter has worked with numerous bands on poster campaigns for nearly 10 years, as well as writing and illustrating over a dozen children's books in the current marketplace, including his most recent titles, the Who's That? series, Sad Santa and Ninja, Ninja Never Stop.

Tad will share his story, his process on various projects, and what it was like growing up in the blue collar Mid-West as the son of an illustrator and designer. And throughout it all, he will share some valuable lessons he has learned in design and in life.
