We hope you'll join us in March for our Annual Meeting, which promises to be an insightful affair. The goals of our annual meetings are fairly simple: we like to let you know what your board's been up to, and present a speaker we hope will inspire you. This year, in our Silent Auction, you'll also have the opportunity to bid on items curated by your AIGA Charlotte Board, which includes a one-year Skillshare subscription, a LiveNation VIP Experience, a gift certificate for a class at The Light Factory, items from local artists and designers, and much, much more.
While AIGA President Adam Iscrupe will offer a sneak peak of what we have in store for our local chapter in 2016, the real star of the show will be Su Mathews Hale. While she is the AIGA National President, she's also a Senior Partner at Lippincott, the renowned design consultancy behind brand icons like the Coca Cola ribbon, the Starbucks siren, and the Walmart spark. Su has expertise merging design with business strategy, and she believes that a brand is a living thing that must be continuously nurtured. She'll also touch on why today's design language must be more adaptive and fluid than ever before to ensure that designers are addressing the complex business issues they've been asked to solve.
Doors open at 6 pm, with the first presentation starting at 7:00 pm. The bidding is from 6:00-7:00. Cash and credit cards can be used for payment.
