Maggie Franklin, Sugar Creek Brewing Company co-owner and bone marrow donor, saved a life last May by donating her bone marrow to someone she’d never met, and she was so inspired, she started blogging to serve as a resource for those on the fence about donating.
To celebrate her one-year donation anniversary and educate young adults about the bone marrow donation process, Maggie is hosting the Project Life Movement: Sip & Swab Fundraiser at Sugar Creek Brewing Company on Saturday, July 30 from 7 – 10 p.m.
- Guests will be encouraged to swab their cheeks —a painless process that takes only two minutes — to be added to the National Bone Marrow Registry.
- The cost to attend the fundraiser is $20 and includes two Sugar Creek Brewing Company drafts, light appetizers, a silent auction and live music by The Accidentals.
We hope you will help us spread the word about this important event and join us at Sugar Creek Brewing Company on July 30. You can check out Maggie’s blog at: My Journey: A glimpse into the before and after of bone marrow donation.
