Presiding over an organization is a lot of responsibility. Handling that responsibility well is very difficult. Making a very difficult task look easy takes something special.
Taylor Nall made the job of AIGA Charlotte President look easy.
Whether it was leading scores of meetings, calmly putting out fires, advocating for us on the national level, or just being friendly and chatting with new members over a beer, Taylor has been a strong, consistent presence in his role as president and another four in roles such as internet coordinator and vice president. He was a huge part of creating the current AIGA Charlotte website which set the bar for AIGA chapter websites across the country. When asked what event he liked best over the last six years of being involved on the board, he responded, “There are so many to choose from but I’d have to say Helvetica – the movie. It was so much fun to be in a theater full of fellow design nerds, laughing at our ‘inside jokes’ together.”
We’re very excited about the future and our current leadership, but we’re also going to miss our last president. We’ve been lucky to have him serve and lead us. Thanks, Taylor. We’re looking forward to seeing you relax at events. We’re sure you’re looking forward to that, too.
