Bookhive: The Good Immigrant

Please join us to discuss the book, “The Good Immigrant: 26 Writers Reflect on America,” Edited by Nikesh Shukla, Chimene Suleyman. This collection of essays, written by first and second-generation immigrants, explores the importance of diversity and inclusion in today's America. We will hear from a multitude of people that represent the voices of the underrepresented and marginalized people of our society. We look forward to this upcoming gathering were we will meet to discuss these relevant topics with you.

To stay engaged with your fellow BookHive members while you read, consider joining the AIGA BookHive Slack channel. Reach out to sflowerday@charlotte.aiga.org to join.

The BookHive’s purpose is to create new connections and engage AIGA members through our common interest in reading and learning. The BookHive will gather 3-4 times a year to discuss and share what we’ve learned from reading a curated selection of books. We aim to choose content that is largely relatable and is not limited to a specific background or professional role. Feel free to drop in to any book gathering that sparks your interest!

This event is free to members and nonmembers.
